Scope and controller
This policy applies to Hodder Law Academy websites, accounts, course participation, purchases, quizzes, and certificates. Hodder Law Firm, P.A. is responsible for the Academy information described here, subject to applicable law.
Information we collect
We may collect account details such as name, email address, username, and profile information; transaction and order details; course enrollment, lesson progress, quiz attempts, results, and certificates; support messages; and technical information such as device, browser, IP address, security logs, and cookie data.
Payment providers process full payment credentials. The Academy generally receives transaction status, amount, payer details, and limited payment-method information rather than full card numbers.
How information is used
We use information to create and secure accounts; process purchases; provide courses; record progress and assessments; issue certificates; respond to support; maintain accessibility; prevent fraud and misuse; improve course and platform performance; meet accounting and legal obligations; and send service communications.
Service providers and disclosures
Information may be shared with vendors that provide hosting, learning-platform, video, email, analytics, security, payment, accounting, and customer-support services. It may also be disclosed when required by law, to protect rights and safety, in a business transaction, or with your direction. We do not sell course-progress records as a standalone product.
Retention and security
We retain information for as long as reasonably needed to provide the Academy, maintain transaction and certificate records, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, and meet legal obligations. We use administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards, but no online system can guarantee absolute security.
Your choices and rights
You may update certain account details through your dashboard and control optional cookies through available settings. Depending on your location, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, portability, restriction, or objection. Some information may be retained where required for transactions, fraud prevention, certificates, or legal compliance.
Children and international use
The Academy is intended for adult and professional learners and is not directed to children under 13. If information is transferred across borders, it may be processed in jurisdictions with different data-protection rules, subject to safeguards required by applicable law.
Policy updates
We may update this policy as the Academy, vendors, or legal requirements change. The effective date above identifies the latest version. Material changes will be communicated as reasonably appropriate.
